Information we collect

If you join the early-access list, we collect the name, email address and optional business name you submit. We may also collect limited technical and aggregate usage information if privacy-conscious website analytics are enabled.

How we use it

We use submitted details to provide EasyTrees development updates, invite suitable participants to product research, and respond to enquiries. We do not sell early-access information.

Storage and service providers

Form submissions may be delivered to a configured service provider acting on our behalf. We retain information only for as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal obligations.

Private field records and maps

The private field application stores account details, site and tree records, device-reported coordinates and photographs to provide the service. Location capture requires your device permission. Records are restricted to your account; displaying a map does not publish them as a public EasyTrees dataset.

When maps are enabled, Google Maps supplies imagery and map controls. Loading a map sends Google technical information such as your IP address, browser and referring origin, along with map requests that reflect the area around recorded tree locations. We do not upload your photographs or inspection notes to Google Maps. Maps require an internet connection and do not request a new device location. Google handles this information under its Privacy Policy.
